Phil Cerami was a member of the North Penn High School Academic Decathlon team from 2002-2004, captaining the team in 2004 to its first state title since 1998. He is the founder of the first Acadecscores score compiling site and also has served as an administrator for Acadectalk.com, before currently serving as coach of Renaissance Academy and regional director of Eastern PA.

[edit] 2004 Season
Phil and the North Penn High School team were PA State Champions in 2004, with a total team score of 44,992 points. The 2004 team is the only team to have beaten perennial state champion NW PA Colllegiate Academy in the PA State Finals since 2002. Phil scored gold overall Scholastic at regionals and states, and placed 7th amongst scholastics at Nationals in Boise with a score of 8,230.8, ranking Phil as the second highest scoring scholastic in PA history.

Phil started an Academic Decathlon program at Renaissance Academy Charter School in Phoenixville, PA, where he serves as head coach and regional director for Southeast PA. In the school's inaugural season, RA qualified for the state finals by placing 3rd in the region and finishing 11th in the state.
