1. Due to poor organization, the Texas Large School State Competition did not use the correct listening selections on the music test. All students and teams marked with a "[1]" received full credit (12/12 questions correct) on the listening portion of the music test. One should take this boost into consideration while comparing scores.
2. The Kansas state competition used Round 2 (regional), not Round 3 (state) tests.
3. Extrapolated (divided original score by 0.9) from 9 subjects to compensate for lack of Super Quiz in individual score. Note that extrapolated scores do not always serve as accurate indicators: http://nniling.us/605/
4. Multiple sources all give Mason City High School's student population as a number in the 1200-1300 range. Since only schools with more than 650 but no more than 1300 students compete in the Medium E-Nationals, Mason City may or may not be the Medium E-Nationals representative from Iowa.
