I competed with Mesa Mountain View in 2002 & 2003. Finished both years as state runner-up (individual) and champion (team). As a former DemiDec writer, I wrote a lot of poetry stuff, including the first-ever DemiDec Power Guide. I provided, or at least helped provide, the impetus for the development of the Power Guides. I was part of DemiSummit 2005 and (very briefly) one of the short-lived subject czars. My career at DemiDec unfortunately did not end nearly as well as it began.

I founded demidectalk.com in its current iteration (not counting the reboot, after which Dean Webb took over primary responsibility) and am still (nominally) an admin there.

I know way too much about the history of USAD and especially the 2 years in which I competed. I've contributed a ton of stuff to this site, though not very recently.

I can't believe it's already been 10 years since I began competing. In those 10 years, I've graduated, started and dropped out of college, got married and had a son, and abandoned and re-converted to Christianity. In the next couple years, I might finish my degree; I will almost certainly be entering into full-time pastoral ministry.
