Jerry Zhao (born June 28, 1997) is a retired Chinese professional Decathlete player who plays for the North Penn Blue-Balls. At the time of his first season, he was the shortest Asian competitor in the Academic Decathlon.
Prince Jerry, who was born in the African Pride Lands, was told by his father that he would one day rule the lands. After his father was left to die by his uncle in a vicious stampede, Jerry planned to seek revenge upon his uncle. After Jerry was framed for the trampling of his father, he fled the Pride Lands. Jerry was found by Cathline Bogart and Chris Sibel in the surrounding region exhausted and abused. This trio soon became the greatest of friends and they helped raise Jerry into manhood. A rouge hunter and deserter by the name of Serena Jiang stumbled upon the three in the forest and vowed to help return Jerry to the Pride Lands so he could one day reclaim and sit upon the Rock. The Pride Lands had suffered extreme poverty and drought under the ruling of Jerry's uncle, Lesion. The inhabitants of the Pride Lands were doomed to starve if Jerry did not return. In a fantastic duel, Jerry infiltrated the Pride Lands and defeated his uncle, Lesion, in battle. Here, Jerry learned that his father's death was not his fault, but actually his uncle's. Jerry prevails and takes his fathers place as rightful king, and all of the animals sing "The Circle of Life." Immediately after the singing, Jerry married Serena upon Pride Rock.
