- The second team of Canyon Del Oro High School of Oro Valley, Arizona wins the second World Scholar's Cup World Finals with a score of 15,733. Team One from the Hankuk Academy of Foreign Studies (South Korea) takes second, and the seventh team of Anglo-Chinese School of Singapore takes third. CDO is the first non-all star team (and the second United States team) to win the World Scholar's Cup.
