Morton Ranch High School is a high school based in Katy, Texas. Opened in 2004, the school serves around 3500 students. Carrie McDaniel is currently in her 13th year of coaching for Morton Ranch; she teaches Pre-AP Chemistry. Joining her beginning in the the 2017-2018 school year is Divya Kaushal who teaches AP Calculus AB & BC.

Morton Ranch advanced to its first state tournament in school history in 2008 and has continued to grow stronger, advancing to state in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2016, and 2018. The years 2014-2016 were years of strong growth for Morton Ranch, growing from 35,611 to 45,867.6 in just 2 years. However, with the graduation of the co-captains Nicholas Welch and Patrick Casbeer, the school suffered an enormous loss, translating into one of the school's worst years in history in 2017. 2018 seems to be a positive sign for the future, with not only the second highest score in the school's history, but also several school records including its first ever 9,000+ score, achieved by Sophomore Karen Tseng.
