I am Cary (CJ) Rohler. I participated in the Alaska Academic Decathlon for 4 years, and the Alaska Academic Pentathlon for 2 years. I was a captain for Interior Distance Education of Alaska for two years (2022, 2023). My main subject is Music, but I also enjoy Speech, Literature, Essay, and Interview.
My highest total score was 2023 State with a score of 6,681.6. This score was the highest Scholastic score in 2023 state. My highest subjective score was 2023 State with a speech score of 970. My highest objective score was 2023 State with a music score of 780.
I helped lead IDEA's Mat-Su team to getting the most places on both teams for the school, with 4 on team 1, 4 on team 2, and 2 alternates being from Mat-Su in 2023. With myself and Ethan Griswold, another Mat-Su captain, leading our GPA divisions as the highest scorers, we had a state score of 38,355.8, which was higher than the 2016 IDEA state team that went to nationals. My personal goal was to beat my brothers Owen Rohler and Eli Rohler. Owen was part of the 2016 team that went to nationals, and Eli was part of the team that achieved the 4th (at the time) highest score in the team's history, and the third (at the time) highest state score.
For my personal goals outside of Acadeca, I plan on attending a music production program that will teach me about mixing and mastering music, as well as the production of music.
