Template:Infobox pop JSK competed in Washington as an Honors for Olympia High School for four years, leading the school to three consecutive state championships. He is best known at the national level for his exploits in music, medalling in the subject three years in a row. He also likely holds the state record for total individual score (8434.4 points) as well as records in several of the academic subjects, most notably in music (where he scored a 980). He was invited to the inaugural World Scholar's cup in South Korea for 2007, but was unable to attend. Instead he hopes to compete in 2008. He is attending Whitman College and will most likely have a music minor by the end of his freshman year. He hopes to eventually coach a team at Walla Walla High School.
