Academic Decathlon
Historical
Honors member Jason Simon participated on the 1999 Texas Marcus Academic Decathlon team. He earned the State of Texas' all time high score with a 9,295, just two points shy of Dan Berdichvesky's record. His record remained the highest score by a Texas Decathlete until Sophy Lee of Pearland High School beat him by less than 10 points at the 2008 National competition.
Other high scoring individuals include Honors member Kaitlyn Williams, Honors member Shaan Sidhwani (who won 2022 state as the top scorer), and Honors/Scholastic member Saipranav Ramesh.
