Edward S. Marcus High School is better known by its shortened title, Marcus High School. The school, a part of Lewisville ISD, has consistently performed well at the state level, but has never won a State Championship.

Academic Decathlon[edit]
Historical[edit]
Honors member Jason Simon participated on the 1999 Texas Marcus Academic Decathlon team. He earned the State of Texas' all time high score with a 9,295, just two points shy of Dan Berdichvesky's record. His record remained the highest score by a Texas Decathlete until Sophy Lee of Pearland High School beat him by less than 10 points at the 2008 National competition.
