Talk:State/Kentucky
It is extremely ironic that Paul Laurence Dunbar won this year for the first time ever. Maybe next year they should change their name to Rudolfo Anaya High SchoolStanley Tree 02:50, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I was on the OCHS team from 97-99. Some tidbits I do know... If you can figure out who was 2nd place in 1997, they were the winner from 94-96. I am not 100% sure, but I think the school name started with an A. Also, in 97 the state competition was around 16 teams, then in 1998 it was ~9, then in 99 it was 6. I believe 2000 was just two teams, and then after that they just automatically sent OCHS when Diane Calhoun-French, the state director, moved to a different job. More recently I think they got a new state director who works at Manual, hence why they sent Manual in 2007. However if PLD won in 2008 that probably means they have an actual competition going again. Derk 14:27, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

- Yep, that's it. The only A school I could think of was Atherton. Definitely Apollo. We beat them by like 200 pts in 97, and the prior 3 years they had won. I am pretty sure they also got 2nd in 1999, but I'm not sure if they did in 1998. Derk 02:00, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
