what to do[edit]

Should the history table be above or below the score links? discuss. gil 23:25, 24 February 2008 (PST)

  • Eh... either or. Doesn't matter to me. Above probably would be better so that they're more visible. It's just that the way it is now is more aesthetically pleasing to me. That and that's how mediawiki's is set up. >< - Adam 15:22, 25 February 2008 (PST)
    • Son, how big is your monitor? gil 20:30, 25 February 2008 (PST)
      • 13" (1280x800) and 22" (1600x1060). Just increase your resolution fool. - Adam 21:05, 25 February 2008 (PST)
  • Does google or someone have some web design guidelines for target resolutions? gil 21:28, 27 February 2008 (PST)
    • You think I should scale it for 1024 width? That's such a crappy resolution though. And to answer your question, I have no idea. - Adam 23:41, 27 February 2008 (PST)
    • i brought the issue up with ENTERPRISE designers and I guess the target resolution is 1024x768. My beef wasn't with the width though, it was with the height of the page. As a compromise how does cutting back on the length of the Overview section sound?gil 14:43, 28 February 2008 (PST)
      • Sounds just fine. I know 1024x768 is the generally agreed upon resolution, but I'm too lazy to test things out for that. Just tested it though and realized that it looks just fine in 1024x768 (there are no errors in the way it displays anyway). Although you're right, it is a tad long. I'm all for shortening the history section. I just basically took what Kort had written and edited it a little. The whole thing is most definitely just a mock-up and not a finished product, so any input is welcome. I was also thinking we could shorten the Things to Look Out For and News sections. To shorten the news section I figured we could just create an archive section. Also, getting rid of logo on the right side would shorten it a good deal - Adam 18:03, 28 February 2008 (PST)
