User:TinDefacto/California Size Divisions

From AcaDec Scores and Information Center

This is a page I just made for fun -- what if California had size-based divisions with the same cutoff values as Texas? (Medium Schools = 1060-2099) Since, as of California's 2016 State competition, 2015-16 statistics aren't yet available online, all of these population numbers are from the previous year.

State Champions

Year Large Champion Score Medium Champion Score Small Champion Score
2017 Granada Hills Charter High School 55,211.0 Franklin High School 52,676.6 Edgewood High School 50,263.8
2016 Granada Hills Charter High School 55,749.6 Franklin High School 54,183.3 Edgewood High School 50,411.3

2007 El Camino Real High School 50,486.4 Vanden High School 45,372.0 University High School 40,713.3

(*) Kinda awkward since this is the one year in which their population was barely low enough to be in Medium... and they won. It would otherwise have been Oakdale with 44,875.8.
