Lubbock High School is a Title I high school in the Lubbock Independent School District located in Lubbock, Texas. Famously known as the alma mater of rock and roll legend Buddy Holly, Lubbock High boasts a longstanding tradition of academic excellence and offers students a variety of challenging courses as part of its International Baccalaureate and AP Capstone curricula.

Lubbock High has won two state championships and represented Texas at Nationals competition in 2002 and 2018. In 2020, Head Coach Nathan Timmons was named the Tom Norris Texas Academic Decathlon Coach of the Year.

The school’s motto is “Sportsmanship, Then Victory.”
